What are Federal Pell Grants?

Federal Pell Grants are need-based aid awarded by the federal government. The Federal Pell Grant Program provides need-based grants to low-income undergraduate and certain postbaccalaureate students.

Until all required processing is complete, we will estimate your eligibility based on the information on your FAFSA. If our estimate is different from the final award, you will be notified of any adjustments necessary. Our estimates are based on current federal payment tables for the Pell Grant, which are subject to revisions. If data on the FAFSA is incorrect, corrections must be made and your aid package will be adjusted accordingly. If all data on the SAR is accurate, keep this form for your records. Pell Grants are credited to a student's account after July 1.

• A Federal Pell Grant, unlike loans, does not need to be repaid. 
• The amount depends on your financial need, cost to attend school and enrollment status.

• Each student can receive the equivalent of 12 full-time payments (or six years of full-time attendance) which is prorated for students who attend part-time. If you are unsure of your remaining eligibility, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

Pell Grant Recipients, 2022-23

Per HEOA Section 488(a)(1)(E) amended HEA Section 485(a)(1), all schools that award Title IV aid are required to disclose information about the student body diversity, including the percentage of enrolled, full-time students who received a Federal Pell Grant.
